On 21 December, IPP organised a debate on the “Returns to vocational education: education, jobs and competitiveness”, following on from the publication of IPP Policy Paper 3, “Returns to vocational education”. Sofia Oliveira, who presented the main findings from her study, Alexandre Homem Cristo, Paulo Guinote, and Pedro Martins discussed the current state of vocational education in Portugal, the pros and cons of this system and the future of education policies.
