In this area, we explore the issues of European democracy, seek ways to improve the quality and importance of public debate on European political and economic issues, explore the political dimension of the European Union, including the design of more democratic institutions and the European treaties themselves. It also addresses issues of participation and electoral systems, including incentives and contexts for political participation, to explore and promote knowledge about modern electoral systems and to investigate possible alternative electoral systems that enable citizens to feel better represented and compelled to participate , as well as their potential risks and limitations.
