In this area, we address governance of the euro zone, discussing visions, ideas and concrete steps to strengthen the economic, financial and budgetary governance of the euro, taking into account both economic rationality and political feasibility. It also addresses options for macroeconomic policy at national level that promote growth in the tradable sector, within the limits imposed by the EMU framework, and to deal with excessive debt at the national level.
