Expertise: public finances and good governance, European Union economic policy

Currently, Francesco is a adjunct professor at Nova School of Business and Economics after obtaining his Phd in Economics by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2004.

He started his academic career  in 1992, going to Universita Luigi Bocconi, in Milano, where he obtained both an undergraduate and a master degree.

Since 2010 he actively followed the Portuguese economy by writing policy papers and organizing round tables with the Troika. He simultaneously worked for a TMT company, as a counselor for their investment committee, a position he left in september 2013.

In 2011 he became head of macreocnomics at Novafrica, a knowledge center on Africa based in Nova SBE, the top economics school in Portugal. From October 2013 to June 2014 he became a member for a resident panel on European affairs for the Ministry of foreign affairs in Portugal.
