Luísa Nobre

Luísa Nobre is an economist with a PhD in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics. Her research focuses primarily on environmental economics, with emphasis on public policy evaluation, energy economics, water resources, and natural resource management. Her work combines quantitative methods, data management and structuring, and applied empirical analysis to support policy decisions and institutional design.
Throughout her professional career, she has developed applied research and consulting projects in environmental economics, infrastructure, and natural resources, collaborating with academic institutions, international organizations, and consulting firms. She has participated in applied research projects in Europe, Africa, and Latin America, including environmental conservation initiatives and socio-economic impact assessments. She has experience in the use of geospatial data and spatial analysis to assess environmental and socio-economic impacts. In addition, she has worked on land-use and conservation studies, the economic valuation of ecosystem services, and the design of Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) schemes.
She is currently a Senior Economist at Atrium Forest Consulting, where she leads environmental impact analysis projects and economic assessments to support conservation strategies and sustainable investment.
