Policy Paper 25 | The Media Freedom Act: A Look at Portugal and Southern Europe

In September 2022, the European Commission published its proposal for a “European Media Freedom Act” Regulation, a legal instrument that will apply Europe-wide and whose aim is to create “rules to protect media pluralism and independence in the EU”. It addresses obstacles faced by the media, such as interference in its independence, increasing insecurity, declining revenues at traditional media platforms, and increasing dependence on “Very Large Online Platforms”. IPP recebe delegação do secretariado técnico do parlamento indonésio

No passado dia 6 março, o IPP recebeu a Delegação do Secretariado Técnico do Parlamento Indonésio, que veio a Portugal, com o objetivo de reunir com alguns think tanks para troca de ideias e experiências. A visita foi acompanhada por dois membros  da Embaixada da República da Indonésia em Lisboa, o Senhor Conselheiro Político Arif R. Balhtiar e Sandra Moreira, Secretária da Secção Política. A delegação é coordenada pelo Dr. Inosentius Samsul e é composta por 13 pessoas.
